Coming soon! The free tickets for the Carlsbad Rotary clubs’ pandemic-spurred month-long Oktober-Feast celebration will be available as hard copies and digitally. Each discount ticket is good for up to eight persons at a time, and they can be re-used, shared, reprinted and downloaded—over and over. The idea is to direct patrons to the nine Carlsbad restaurants offering 15-percent discounts on food all October, as well as to Tip Top Meats, which is offering a complete German meal all month at the already-discounted price of $9.98, plus tax. Co-Chair Vince Ponce said it appears that via sponsorships, the event will raise at least $60,000 for scholarships and other Rotary projects. “All sponsors are being very generous, including the Rotarians in both clubs.” Restaurants offering the 15-percent discount are Vigiluci’s Seafood, Vigilucci’s Cantina, Gregorio’s Italian Restaurant, The Landings, Tommy V’s, Senor Grubby’s, Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant, and Tin Leaf Fresh Kitchen. Rotarians are encouraged to use and hand out tickets to ensure a Win-Win-Win result: for the restaurants, the community and the two Rotary clubs, in addition to keeping the spirit of Carlsbad Oktoberfest alive.
