• The link will direct you to a page to sign in or create an account.
• If you have previously volunteered with the Food Bank, sign in to your existing account, and your sign-up will be complete.
• If you need to create an account, click on the “create account” button on the top right of the page.
  • Type in a username and password.
  • The next page will ask you to check all that apply. Usually it’s “I just want to volunteer.”
  • Complete the personal information form and click “Submit.”
  • You will be redirected back to the sign-up page. Accept the waiver & click “Sign Up” for the volunteer shift.
• Important information:
  • Each person in the group must sign up for the shift—this includes kids (16 years of age or older), friends, significant others, family members, etc. Any unused volunteer slots will be released for other community volunteers to sign up 1 week before the scheduled shift. To sign up for the shift, all volunteers must sign in to their account, scroll to the event date, and select the green “sign up” circle next to the date.
  • Volunteers at the San Diego Food Bank must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer independently. 
  • Must wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Plan on arriving 10 minutes early for the shift.  Arrivals later than 10 minutes past the beginning of the shift will not be allowed to volunteer.
